I was fortunate to be part of Operation Rebuke the Pope in 2008. Operation Rebuke the Pope was a mission trip conducted by street preachers from across the country; whose mission was to shine light on dark Roman Catholic doctrines; attempting to reach lost souls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pope Benedict’s plane landed in Washington, D.C and we greeted this ant-christ and his followers with banners, literature, and preaching never before heard by most Catholics. Pope Benedict received worship by tens of thousands (but not us) in D.C.; then we followed him to New York City in an attempt to comfort the feeble-minded Catholics gathered there.
My last day in New York City was highlighted by the story I am about to share. While street preaching to the Catholics a teen age girl shared with me her story, how she had personally rebuked Pope Benedict the day before. This young woman was able to convey to the Pope that he was not, nor would he ever be God on this earth or anywhere else, and she did it with scripture (imagine that). Standing on the parade route this girl was holding a sign with a scripture verse on it as the Pope mobile passed by. The Pope was accompanied by two Cardinals in the Pope mobile as he waved to those on the crowded sidewalks.
Suddenly, Pope Benedict’s eyes fastened on this fore mentioned young lady. He waved to her and then looked intently at her hand-held sign as he read the message from the words of God. Then a much unexpected reaction from the Pontiff! A look of shock and awe fastened itself on his face and his eyes seemed to bug out of his head. He had seen the truth, perhaps for the first time in his life. He knew! His body jerked in literal shock as he looked at the girl’s sign with great horror. At this point the Cardinals had their back to the girl holding the sign. Seeing the look on their god’s face caused them to whirl around in the Pope mobile, and what followed was the same look of horror and body jerking the Pope had displayed a moment earlier. Just imagine, one Bible verse on a white poster board written with an everyday magic marker caused panic in the Pope mobile! What could that verse be? Check it out below.

Sixteen words from the Sword of the LORD! These words cut to the very quick of this man of sin who leads thousands into a Christ less eternity in hell everyday. Do you suppose Pope Benedict was able to forget that day in New York City when the realization that he was not God, but merely a sinful man? I think not! Lets hope that Pope Benedict considered 1Timothy 2:5 and was wise enough to use his age and weakness as an excuse to leave the Papal chair. Lets pray for this lost soul that he will embrace the truth of scripture and be saved. Selah.
