The Roman Catholic church runs contrary to Scripture in both faith and practice! The “supposed pope”, Peter would have no part of being worshipped, unlike the present pope and those who preceded him.
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshiped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I MYSELF ALSO AM A MAN. Acts 10:25,26 and 26.
Not so with the pope of the Roman Catholic church today. The Catholic pope today is called “holy father” in direct rebellion to the command of Jesus, to call no man father, with a strong reminder that we have only one father (spiritually speaking) which is in heaven. The Catholic pope has his feet kissed as well as his hand and allows himself to be worshipped as Christ on earth while sitting in the temple of God showing himself as God.
