THINKEST THOU THIS?
Multitudes in various denominations and ministries believe in a false doctrine called Endure to the End (ETTE). Those caught in the web of the ETTE Cults believe that a man or woman must and can live a totally sinless life as a condition to obtain and keep the eternal life that he or she thinks they have. ETTE Cultists poke fun and refute the doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS). The ETTE Sect blaspheme with total abandonment the Biblical doctrine of Imputed Righteousness, clearly taught in the scriptures by Paul the apostle to the Gentiles in this Church Age. ETTE Cultist seem to have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge of the Holy Scriptures (AV1611 of course). Perhaps Elihu in Job 35:2 can jar the conceited hearts of the ETTE Cultists; encouraging them to search the Scriptures with us; thus causing them to find Jesus Christ the Righteousness of God.
Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidist, My righteousness is more than Gods?
The wrong answer to Job 35:2 can and will result in eternal capital punishment for any man or woman on this planet. Salvation hinges on the answer to the question in said verse. With that said, Come let me show you the words of the Lord from the Book of Romans chapter three (caps are mine for emphasis).
BUT NOW the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD which IS BY FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST unto ALL and upon ALL them THAT BELIEVE: for there is no difference: For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God; Being JUSTIFIED FREELY by HIS GRACE through the REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God; TO DECLARE, I say at this time HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS: that he might be just, and THE JUSTIFIER of him WHICH BELIEVETH IN JESUS.
Many in the ETTE Cults boast of not sinning ever or for extreme periods of time. I think part of their problem is being Bible, plus they are full of pride; puffed up in their fleshly minds. Let’s take another look at Romans to get the facts.
Where is boasting then? IT IS EXCLUDED. By what law? OF WORKS? NAY: BUT BY THE LAW OF FAITH. Therefore WE CONCLUDE that A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW.
Is this a license to sin? NO. NO. NO. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us from all unrighteousness. 1 Jn. 1:8,9
Don’t forget, If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1Jn. 1:10
