Mack Lyon-Drowned?

Mack Lyon was so pre-occupied with mis-quoting Acts 2:38 that he drowned in the baptistery of unbelief.  Ol Mack chose to leave out part of Acts 2:38 like any loyal Churches of Christ stooge and then add to the Acts 2:37 to make both verses FIT their watered down theology.

When ol Mack or Joseph LaClair or any other heretic are  placing their eternal bets on Acts 2:37 and Acts 2:38 it sounds like this.  Men and brethren what shall we do to be saved?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be bup-tizedWhen a Water Dog misquotes the Scripture in this manner he or she is hoping that you will not look at the AV1611 Holy Bible for yourself.  But we here at Ezekiel 3 believe in living by every word of God with nothing added.  Below is exactly how the Holy Ghost wanted it to be said.

…Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,… Acts 2:37, 38 (partial quote)

These verses were written in regard to the nation of Israel, not individuals in the Church Age.  These Jewish leaders were asking the questions  in regard to having just killed their King.  The Water Dogs and Mud Puppies add to the Scripture with “to be saved” and leave out every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.”  Remember individual salvation and the Gospel as given to Paul was not being discussed in chapter 2 of Acts.

These Water Dogs and Mud Puppies purposely leave out and add to the words of God to mislead you into and eternal Hell along with them.  See Ezekiel 3’s posts on dispensations for a better understanding of how to rightly divide the words of God.

The one question I will answer you can’t be saved without the Holy Spirit sorry but that’s just dumb anybody that knows the Scriptures should know that? Read Romans 8 9 but you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of his.
Do the scriptures say there for being justified by water? No I wish and pray you had discernment of the Scriptures let’s look at Romans chapter 5 therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, my friend if you can’t see that there’s something bad wrong with you. Go get you a good King James Bible learn how to rightly divide the Scriptures and you just might come to the true and living God of the Bible.. remember the mind like a parachute if its not open it won’t work

  2. Dwane Karr says:

Joseph LaClair. I ask you if you knew the Gospel of the Kingdom is not the Gospel preached by Paul. No answer. I ask because the book of Acts is a transition book. It begins with God giving Israel a second chance to receive their Messiah (Acts 1-7). God,s offer ended with the stoning of Stephen. I asked because The Kingdom Gospel was still being preached up to the end of Acts 7. Do you know they are not the same. Things different are not alike. Do you realize if Israel had receive Jesus Christ in Acts 1-7 there would have been no Church Age? The baptism in Acts 2 is the baptism of John the Baptist. Rightly Dividing the word of truth is critical to getting the Bible right. Why am I talking about this? Because there were NO CHRISTIANS IN ACTS 2. I am trying to give you light not be a jerk. You see then that Acts 2:38 is not Gentile baptism that is why it was done in the name of Jesus. I already covered that but you did not reply to that. Honestly, how could there be any Christians there when the word Christian does not show up until Acts 11:26 “And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” In Acts 2 nobody had any knowledge of Paul,s gospel, our gospel. Paul was still a devout member of the Sanhedrin and persecuting all those who did believe Jesus was the Messiah. A man must understand that or he will never get his Bible right. If no one on Earth knew anything about our gospel and thus no one was, or could have been a Christian at that time why in the world would you think Acts 2:38 was the way Christians are saved today? You mentioned Acts 3:19. In it Peter was preaching the message of National Repentance hoping they would convert, (The Religious and Political leaders of Israel) and if the would have then the National sins would have been blotted out. They didn’t and they won’t convert and have their sins blotted out until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Acts 1-7 is Israels second chance. There are no Christians in Acts 1-7. The first man converted like we are was the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. After Stephens stoning Israel’s 2nd chance was over and God turned to the Gentiles. Before that all the dealings were between Israel and God. If you want to talk about how men are saved today in the Church Age you must start with Acts 8 through Philemon. That is where you will find our doctrine. Paul is the (Rom.11:13) Apostle to the Gentiles.

Brother why are some people you just can’t help you can lead a man to truth but you can’t make him think

  4. herersy Hunters says:

Joseph what I see is your a hereitic I have shown you plainly as well a as Dwane praying your blind eyes will be opened and you will come out of your willing ignorance and get right with God before it’s too late if you’re hanging your salvation on acts 2:38 then your as lost as a one eyed goat in a hellstorm…You MUST be born again I also notice all heretics never mention this verse.. I’m also going to follow Titus chapter 3
About avoiding foolish questions …and move on .. as 1st Thessalonians reminds us I have tried to comfort the feeble minded support the weak, and be patient toward all men but now in closing I look on you as this Philippians 3:18 now I tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ.

Fine, your not even interested in dialogue and studying, you have all the answers. I address your comments with scripture and ask questions which instead of answering you just blow off.
You guys must be fun when trying to convert anyone. They don’t agree with you the first time, well goodbye heretic.

Thanks for showing me how true christians act. Instead of trying to reason with a man and teach him out of error, let’s call them liars heretics and Jackasses.

Remember who started the name calling here, yeah, to my shame I sunk to the same level for a bit but what’s your excuse. Oh yeah, the Lord told you in his word to make fun, insult and belittle people. Good job Christians.

  6. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Jospeph, Larry has a message for you.

A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Titus 3:10

  7. Joseph LaClair says:

    O

  8. Joseph LaClair says:

Larry, obviously Jesus’s baptism was not to remove sinless. He gives you the reason, it was to fulfill all righteousness. He is our example.

John’s baptism was not for salvation for any one (forgive me, I do not have my KJ with me right now so I’ll be using the NKJ)

    Acts 19:1-5
And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
he said unto them, “Did you recieve the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said unto him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

Interrupting for comments: these were believers, they were disciples, who as of yet hadn’t heard of the Holy Spirit, they obviously had not heard of Jesus’ command to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Question? And please let’s not start again with insults and name calling, these are honest questions as all of my questions have been and I would like honest answers. These discussions are to learn where you are coming from and to discuss why we disagree and to see if we can maybe come to an agreement. It might never happen, probably will never happen but one very useful outcome is people can see intelligent reasoning and discussion from two sides to help them make up their mind.

So question? Can a person be saved without the Holy Spirit? Does the Holy Spirit work through a person without their knowledge of Him?

    Continuing Scripture
    Acts 19:3-5
And he said to them, “into what were you baptized? So they said , “Into John’s baptism”
Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is on Christ Jesus.”
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Any how, we can agree that at least John’s baptism was not for salvation. Jesus’ command to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit was different than John’s. And that baptism he does say is for salvation.

    Mark 16:15-16
And He said to them (them being the apostles) “Go into all the world and preach the gospel (this is after his death, this is for the church age)
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

You left out a few things in your Roman quotes. Yes, it is a likeness, we are not actually dying, being buried and resurrecting. But spiritually we are. When we partake of the Lord’s supper we are not actually eating the body and blood of Jesus, but spiritually we are, in our hearts we are.

Here’s what you left out, Romans 6:6-7
Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be salves of sin.

And here is the big one

Verse 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

We die (spiritually) with Christ, when we die we are freed from sin, not before, we are crucified with Him, “that the body of sin might be done away with.”

You know the Gospel is a beautiful picture of our God, our creator, dying for us, for our sins, being buried and rising up victorious over death, victorious over Satan.

And he asks us to die with Him, be buried with Him, to rise up victorious over Satan, over Sin and to be with Him.

    Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Yes, we need to be in Christ and we are through baptism.

    John 3:5
Unless one is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

    Romans 6:3
Do you not know that as many of us as were BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST were baptized into His death.

Yes, Larry, to walk in newness of life, freed from sin, redeemed.

I don’t know how you cannot see that.

  9. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

    Right on man, RIGHT ON.

  10. Larry McCune says:

ok lets take a look at why Jesus was baptized was it because he was a sinner? or remission of sins? another resounding no then why? Well Jesus was picturing his death burial and resurrection as per Romans ch.6 but before we get into that lets take a look at what John said to Jesus and what Jesus said to John in our King James Bible..Matthew ch.3.13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. …Suffer it to be so now:? Nowhere in here did Jesus imply this was for salvation…Dont you think if this was vitality important Jesus would of said this is a must!! Like he does when he says you MUST be born again…
So now lets move on to our Apostle to the gentiles Paul as per Romans ch.6.. .3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection
    .
here is is plain like< likeness its just a picture I am going to come out of that grave just like Jesus did!! Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: When you go under that water its a watery tomb, like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life..I went under I came out to walk in newness of life. If you c ant see this Joseph and all the other scripture then by scripture standards you are indoctrinated lost and decieved…It is written .Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

  11. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Dwane will probably get with you tomorrow, he is off-line now. Have a good night and think on these things.

  12. Joseph LaClair says:

Dwayne, thank you for your comments and opening a dialogue without insults and name calling. I started out the same with Ray but all he did was hurl insults and refused to answer questions. So thank you for answering at least some of my questions.

I wouldn’t owe you a 1000 because I did ask for you to write it out so that I can see the “only”. That you did not do. You did give me passages that only use faith. But as I pointed out to Ray, I can show passages that do not use faith.

Please do not think this disrespectful, but if a passage does not use repentance does that mean it is not necessary.

For instance Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted that your sins may be blotted out.

This passage does not mention or say believe so that your sins may be blotted out but repent. Can I now say it is repentance alone that removes sin because here is a passage that uses repentance alone?

I believe it all comes down to the word as I’m sure you do also

Romans 10:17 Is quoted so often with good reason and let me say, I also appreciate the fact that you take the time to write out your scriptures.

Romans 10:17 so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is how God gives us our faith. The word is a gift from God we hear it and believe. “Faith comes by hearing”.

Where you and I probably will disagree here is that I believe that we choose to believe or we choose not to believe. I believe the words of Joshua 24:15 are as relevant today as they were back then. ” and if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

I believe it is our choice to believe in God. The same as it is our choice to repent, it is a command and so it is up to us to obey the command or not. I do not believe we are mindless automatons without choice but God always gives us the choice to repent or not. Otherwise why bother with the command if it is not up to us?

Now Ephesians says we are saved by grace through faith, which means the grace is the saving factor here, salvation works through faith but this verse does not say faith saves us. Again, I respectfully disagree with you here, I believe the gift here is salvation not faith. Although an argument could be made it is both. Salvation definitely is a free gift, nothing you can do can earn your salvation. Even if you obeyed everything commanded in the bible flawlessly, all you did was simply obey God. He does not owe you or me or any man anything. Faith comes by hearing and the word of God is a free gift, we do not deserve the good news it contains.

It also says not of works lest any man should boast. Again, I ask respectfully, do you believe all works are the same, are works of God the same as works of the law or works of man or works of the devil. Would you agree there are different kinds of works?

The reason I ask is Jesus says faith is a work and if works cannot save then how can faith which is a work save?

John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He hath sent.

I believe following commands of God are works of God. I do not believe the building of the ark was a work of man, I believe it was the work of God. I do not believe the slaying of Goliath was the work of man but was a work of God. I do not believe the desruction of Jericho was a work of man but was a work of God.

With that in mind, I do not believe that there is salvation without first confessing your belief before men.

Romans 10:9-10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Here we have a definite faith plus confession saves. Faith plus something else.

I’m of course paraphrasing here but show me where I may be wrong. Paul is saying with the heart you believe what is right to do ( righteousness) and with the mouth you do what is commanded to do to be saved whic in this case is confess with the mouth ( with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I believe confession is a work of God, not of man. I also believe that baptism is a work of God not of man.

Colossians 2:12 Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead.

I believe baptism is the operation or work af God.

I believe that is why James can say we are justified by works and not by faith alone 2:24

Please feel free to address any of the points I have brought up.

And finally could you tell me what an answer of a good conscience to God means and again no disrespect but Peter says even immersion doth also save us.

I believe It’s not the water, it’s the obedience in a good conscience toward God that saves, the same as confession. I believe it is faith plus obedience that saves.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, it to trust and obey.

    Pleasure conversing with you.

  13. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Or perhaps YOU just are not honest enough to understand. Well what do you have to say to what Dwane wrote? We are all waiting. The two posts on ol Mack have received many reads. You need to get busy on here and defend your heresy. Did Dwane give you Scripture that taught Salvation by Faith Only or not? Yes or No? WAITING.

  14. Joseph LaClair says:

Or perhaps you just aren’t smart enough to explain.

  15. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Tell it to Dwane, I am tired of your childish fit.

  16. Joseph LaClair says:

Ray, isn’t this your web page? Your the one who said I’m confusing them, so explain to me how. Explain to me what they both mean? Please. I’m asking nicely.

  17. Dwane Karr says:

We are saved by Grace through Faith. Sure a man repents but what do you think repentance is? Repentance is a change of mind. A man is to turn from unbelief to belief. Believe and Receive. Grace through Faith. Of course God supplies the Grace. For that matter He also gives us the Faith to believe. Eph.2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Even the Faith is “not of yourselves”. There is salvation by Grace through faith. Do you understand progressive revelation? You must be real careful in Acts. Things are changing. For that matter do you even understand the difference between the Kingdom Gospel and our Gospel of the Grace of God (Acts 20:24)? How about this; Acts 15:7 ” And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and BELIEVE.
    8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, PURIFYING THEIR HEARTS BY FAITH.” He was clearly refering to (Acts 10) where he was summoned to the house of Cornelius to preach Jesus Christ to them so they could be saved. Now note (vs 44) ” While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.” Glory to God, they got saved! Now After they got saved they got baptized just as they should do, (vs 47) “Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?”Note (vs 48) as well.”And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.” They get saved. Then they get baptized as a public profession of what they had done. And they are baptized in the {{ Name of the LORD }}. Of course “The Lord” is used in the NT for all three persons of the Godhead, Father (Jude 5), the Son (Phil.2:11), and “the Holy Ghost” (2 Cor.3:17). That is Gentile Baptism after salvation. I told you that you have to be careful in Acts. Acts two is a Jewish Baptism . That is why it is in the name of Jesus. Just as John the Baptist did it. As for (1 Pet.3:21) the verse begins showing you it is “The like figure”. It pictures the salvation that takes place before Baptism. He further shows you it is not washing away sins for he says “not the putting away of the filth of the flesh”, but “the answer of a good conscience toward God”. A public profession of the fact you got saved. he compares our salvation to Noah’s. Why? Because Noah was saved by getting into the Ark. We are saved by getting into Jesus Christ. And to top it all off Joseph LaClair NOAH DIDN’T EVEN GET WET!!!! He was saved by staying ON TOP OF THE WATER. By the way I gave you Two passages that say you are saved by Faith, Grace through Faith + Nothing. Cornelius was an example of being saved by Faith + Nothing. One more before I go, (Gal.3:14) ” That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might RECEIVE THE PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH FAITH.” Good thing you are not a betting man Joseph LaClair or you would owe me 4 grand! LOL

  18. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Boy, I say you are sure quick to jump to “confusions”!

  19. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

Dwane should be getting back to you shortly.

  20. Joseph LaClair says:

We do not say it and have not added it. So once agin you lie because you said we have added it but again, you can’t show where. You are of your father the devil.

  21. Joseph LaClair says:

So you are redeemed before your sins are forgiven? So all men are redeemed?

Explain to me then what remittance means

Explain to me what redeem means

  22. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

You and ol Mack Lying imply it every time you preach your heretical false Churches of Christ gospel.

  23. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

You are confusing Remittance with/and Redemption. We are Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;Jesus Christ; not Remitted.

  24. Joseph LaClair says:

To Ray McIntire, show me where I added “to be saved” to acts 2:37. Copy it and paste it here. If you can’t do it the retract your lie. Show me where Mack Lyon misquoted it. Give me a YouTube video or something on their website or something in his writings. If you can’t then retract your lie.

  25. Joseph LaClair says:

Well, would agree, your sins are not in remission because you have refused to listen to Peter’s words. Look up remission, it means the act of remitting. Remit means to cancel, it means to release from guilt or penalty. So yes, I would agree with you, your sins are not remitted, they have not been canceled.

I explained what remittance means in an earlier post which I’m sure you already saw but let’s take a look at Acts2:38 again.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
(now here’s where it get’s tricky H.H. Do you mind if I call you H.H. Heresy Hunter although cute is a bit long and let me help you with your hunt, I’ll be glad to send you a mirror…….any how here’s where it gets tricky)
    FOR
(You do know what for means H.H.? Most kindergarteners do. Oh, I forgot, you don’t know What remission means, there’s a good chance you don’t know what for means. I’ll tell you what my Websters dictionary says “so as to bring about a certain state” (shouted the news for all to hear) “used as a function word to indicate purpose” ( money for studying) the purpose of repentance and baptism, the certain state that repentance and baptism bring about follows “for”.

    THE REMISSION OF SINS,

(I know it’s hard for you to follow all split up like that so let’s put it all together

Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS,

C’mon H.H. Repeat that with me FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. You do know what that means, right? You can understand English, right?

That is the “purpose” of repent and be baptized, that is the state (No H.H. State is not like New York) brought about by repentance and baptism. Once you repent and are baptized your sins are remitted. That means your sins are cancelled. Remit also means to restore. It also means to release from guilt or penalty

    Here it is again

Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall recieve the Holy Spirit.

Her’s what I think it is saying

Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Do me a big favor H.H. Break it down for me like I did for you. Explain Acts2:38 to me like I was a five year old, I tried to do that for you. Break it down word for word and tell me what it means.

  26. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

As Paul Harvey used to say, “Lets stand by for news”. Did you see Josephs comment that challenged Dwane on “remission of sins”? Could you please tell Dwane what Joseph said and his challenge in case I can’t get hold of him. Or just “wade in yourself”, no pun intended. Or maybe a pun was intended. lol

  27. Joseph LaClair says:

I will ask you also Dwane Karr, show me one, just ONE passage that says we are saved by faith alone. And quote it for me, write it out so I can see the “only” in the passage.

I’m not a betting man but if I were I’d put a 1000 bucks on the fact you can’t do it.

I will also ask you, let’s see if you have the courage to answer wher Ray does not.

Are we saved before we repent? Is repentance faith or an act of faith?

Are we saved before we confess with our mouth Jesus Christ? Is confession faith or an act of faith?

  28. Josep LaClair says:

Here is what the scriptures say, no twist no addition, you yokels may not now what remittance means so go look it up before you read this passage

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Where have I changed it.
Here is what remittance means: cancel or refrain from exacting a debt or punishment.

To remit sin is to cancel your sin to refrain from exacting what we deserve because of our sins.

The passage says TO REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED TO REMIT SIN OR FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.

You yokels only see the repent and even then you will not answer. Is repentance necessary for salvation? Is repentance faith or an act of faith? If it is an act of faith then how can you not see it is your faith plus your actions in obedience to God’s command that leads to salvation.

Do you repent before or after you believe? Why do you repent? Is it not your faith and trust in God that leads to repentance? Are you saved before you repent? If it is faith only then why are you repenting, your actions have nothing to do with it, only your belief.

It is obvious to any one with a modicum of intelligence that you first believe in Christ and then through that belief you obey and repent. But like I said, you have to have a modicum of intelligence.

But you just keep on teaching your lie “saved by faith only”

Show me the scripture that says saved by faith alone, you can’t, it’s not in there but I can show you the scripture that says we are saved by baptism

1Peter 3:21 the like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us ( not putting away the filth of the flesh but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Where have I twisted it? Read it. It says even baptism does also now save us. You can understand English, right?

These are quotes, no twisting, you just can’t accept them because you have been blinded by Satan.

  29. herersy Hunters says:

Bro.Ray my sins are not in remission they are forgiven and not by being under water like these Campbellites spiritual tadpoles but under the saving precious blood of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

  30. Bro. Ray McIntire says:

You are right brother Ray. They like to add …”to be saved” to the end of Acts.2:37. If an honest man would leave the Holy Words of God as they stand in the King James Bible the text is crystal clear. The text says the people asked “what shall we do”? The text supplies the answer in vs 40, “Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” Admit you make a huge mistake when you went along with the crowd while they crucified you’re Messiah. Confess you were wrong, ask God to forgive you, ( remission of sins=sins already forgiven on the cross Luke 23:34) then come down and be baptized (in the name of Jesus = Jewish baptism) and take you stand with the believers. That was a huge step for a Jew for this would make them an outcast from the feared leaders both religious and political. Bottom line, NEVER TRUST A MAN THAT HAS TO CHANGE THE SCRIPTURES TO MAKE HIS POINT! The scriptures rightly divided speak for themselves. God doesn’t need help from waterdogs or anybody else. He has already said it perfectly

    COWARD! LIAR! HYPOCRIT!

You are right brother Ray. They like to add …”to be saved” to the end of Acts.2:37. If an honest man would leave the Holy Words of God as they stand in the King James Bible the text is crystal clear. The text says the people asked “what shall we do”?
