It does not matter what the Bible teaches or what it means!
It does not matter what the Bible teaches or what it means; the only thing that matters is what it says! Before you stomp off in a self-righteous fit, give me time to explain some great truths about the Bible the ecumenical and fundamental Baptist establishments have overlooked or forgotten.
We need to believe the Bible is 100% true and believe that God the Holy Spirit got it right in the originals and in the AV1611 King James Bible. But we are not to believe everything some preacher or preacherette says it teaches or means. All twisted cults got their start in scripture by not rightly dividing the word of truth; thus we get false teachings which come from false teachers.
Every time you try to correct a Oneness Pentecostal, a Jehovah’s Witness, a Mormon, a Roman Catholic or some other brand of reprobate you will hear them start off with “the Bible teaches or the Bible means”, then begin to blend their particular brand of heresy. It does not matter what the Bible means or teaches, but only what it says. The Holy Ghost wants to teach the saved and lost alike, what it says!
When Christians are judged at the judgement seat of Jesus Christ we will be judged by what the Bible says, not what we think it means. When the lost person gets to the Great White Throne Judgement he will be judged by what the Bible says, not what he thinks it teaches!
You can easily spot a heretic or false teacher by how they react to the Bible in their last analysis. You say what it says and the false teacher will respond with what it means. When you press the issue of good versus false doctrine the heretic will then agree with what the Bible says, but will insist it means what he or she says. When you insist that God the Holy Spirit meant what the Bible says or he would have said something else, the heretic will retreat and break fellowship with you and crawfish under a rock of unbelief.
Never forget if the Bible had meant to say something else, it would have said something else. Selah.
