HOLLYWOOD or the BIBLE?
The AV1611 Holy Bible proves itself to be superior to Hollywood ten times out of ten concerning all matters of truth, especially when it comes to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And it is no different with this latest movie, SON OF GOD.
QUIZ: Did any one notice the obvious part the gospel this movie left out?
ANSWER: The Virgin Birth. This movie began with Jesus in the arms of his mother and not one mention of the Virgin Birth of our Lord. Without the miraculous virgin birth of Jesus, we have no Son of God!
With the movies biggest BLOOPER on record above, let us examine more of the movie in light of scriptures and use this Roman Catholic production to present the truth of the Gospel. In lockstep with Xmas stories and songs, SON OF GOD, portrayed the wise men arriving at the stables long before Jesus had reached the age of about two. See Matthew chapter 2 for up-to-date accurate facts on this event.
Did anyone other than myself notice the that only one woman kept constant company and spent nights with Jesus and the disciples? The Bible says “Abstain from all appearance of evil” 1Thess. 5:22 I know the God that gave us the scriptures would not transgress his own commandment. Right? Amen. Thank you. The director of this movie, SON OF GOD, even put the woman in the boat when the disciples crossed over to Capernaum. Me thinks not and so did the gospel writer in John 6:16. Much more I could say about how this movie departed from the scriptures, but I do not want to take a chance of boring you, so we will fast forward to just three more examples before bringing this movie review to an end.
Did anyone notice that in the scriptures that Jesus never addressed Mary as mother, since the beginning of his ministry? Check it out in John 2:4. Yet when Jesus commended the care of his mother to John this movie continued in the Roman Catholic tradition of exalting the mother of Jesus and inserted the word “mother” when Jesus clearly said “woman”. Read it for yourself, don’t believe me, believe the Bible (AV1611 of course)! John 19: 26,27
The ungodly Roman Catholic co-redeemer Mary showed up again in the movie as receiving the body of Jesus from the cross when nothing could be farther from the truth (AV1611 of course). It was Joseph of Arimathaea that begged the body of Jesus Christ and laid it in his own new tomb. Look it up. Matt. 27:57-60
SON OF GOD the movie had Jesus drinking vinegar from that sponge like it was his favorite flavor of Gatorade. NOT SO! Check out Matthew chapter 27 verse 34 for the true account, (AV1611 of course. I could go on and on, but that would belabor my point that I will address in closing.
Hollywood added nothing to the AV1611-KJB, but certainly muddied and took away much truth. We can though, hope that God’s people will take note of the discrepancies and perhaps Hollywood’s frail attempt to depict Jesus on the big screen will cause some to look for the truth in God’s holy words (AV1611 of course). Amen?
