The two years leading up to and after the 2020 Presidential election, saw many preachers and Christians focused more on Donald J. Trump than the Holy Bible. Beginning early in 2020, many professing Christians spent more time on 24 hour political news coverage than the Scriptures. Thus, ignoring what the Bible does or does not say about the future of the United States of America led to dispair for many after the November election.
Please allow me to help you catch up! First and foremost the preserved words of God tell us the Lord, “removeth kings and setteth up kings.” (Dan. 2:21) Then the Lord defines those whom he sets up as among “the basest of men.” (Dan. 4:25) Some world rulers will be in charge because of elections (fair or unfair) or through military conquest. But, either way they will only rule as long as they do the bidding of the Lord Jesus, hastenng to that last days. Only four world empires are mentioned in Daniel 2:17-19 before the fifth and last Satanic empire ruled by the Anti-christ during the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation. These four world empires are Babylon (606 B.C.); Persia (536 B.C.); Greece (330 B.C.); and Rome (100 B.C.). The empire of the Anti-christ will be a revived Roman empire that has not yet appeared on the world stage. Please notice, prophesies of the scriptures ignore the United States and all other nations during this present “Church Age”. End times prophesies in the scriptures go from the ancient Roman empire that existed at the time of Jesus’ first coming to the revived Roman empire at Jesus’ second coming!
Many, many, too many preachers abandoned the words of God, and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to promote a man (Trump), who surrounded himself with false prophets. These false “christian” prophets fortold he would surely be re-elected in a landslide. Didn’t happen! These Laodicean preachers could not discern the between a Christian revival and a Presidential election! All this went on in pulpits across America, while ignoring what God has to say about all nations with the exception of Israel: “the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance…All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him as nothing, and vanity.” Is. 40:15-17
After the born-again church meets Jesus Christ in the clouds (rapture), the Tribulation will begin. United States citizens left behind at the rapture, will be part of a nation falling into lock step with the empire (Rome) of the Anti-christ for a period of seven years. Afterwards, the Second Coming will usher in the Millenial Reign (1,000 years) of Jesus Christ on this earth prior to the White Throne Judgement. See AV1611 Bible for details. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Tim. 2:15
Let us not forget, Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He was not surprised or dismayed by the 2020 Presidential election. Jesus set up and called the shots on the 2020 election, and every other world event; major and minor; since the beginning of time. Those of us who believe we have the preserved words of God in a Book (AV1611) come to this conclusion; our calling is spiritual; not political. The greatest and the last apostle; Paul; did not waste his or God’s time trying to make Rome great again! Rather, he was consumed with teaching and preaching Jesus Christ; him crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. We should be too!
Conclusion. Professing christians should quit wasting time on the 2024 election or fantasies of Trump taking office again before 2024. We may not be here (Can you say Rapture?). While thousands waste time on national politics, our neighbors are dying and going to an eternal Hell every hour of every day! Become a light, replace that Trump lawn sign with a gospel sign in your yard. Pass out some gospel tracts. Write some letters to friends and loved ones telling the free gift of eteral life through the blood of Jesus Christ.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But that day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night: in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt wit fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2 Peter 3:9-12
